South Yorkshire Multi Crime Support Service
Buyer: South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority
Description
The South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority is looking to commission a Multi Crime Support Service. Following the Mayoral election in May 2024, the Mayor took on the functions of the Police and Crime Commissioner. These functions include listening to the needs of communities, securing victim support services, setting the objectives for the police force, and holding the Chief Constable to account. SYMCA is looking to commission a Multi Crime Support Service embracing the concept of: - One point of local contact for all individuals affected by crime, excluding Domestic Abuse / Sexual Violence and Homicide. The service will be required to offer an integrated, specialist, informative, care and support pathway to tailored interventions and a range of assessment and support services for adults and young people. - Supporting victims to access wider services such as healthcare, social care, and guidance through the criminal justice processes to help those referred to cope and recover from the impact of crime and holistically improve individual health and well-being, as well as criminal justice outcomes.
