Tenders are invited from suitably qualified Consultancy firms for the Design and Project Management of a new Cricket and Community Hub on the existing site of Lauralvale Cricket Club 25 Mullavilly Rd. Tandragee, BT62 2LX. Since 1875 the grounds and facility has provided the focus for many village activities and functions. The club has just celebrated 150 years existence, and to mark this the Committee want to secure a viable long-term future for this established club and develop the facilities and activities that take place there. Over the years due to its location in the centre of the villages of Laurelvale and Mullavilly, many activities other than cricket now take place within the grounds. There is a real need to build a new, fit for purpose facility to host these activities. This capital project will kickstart the first phase of the club’s vision - the building of a new community hub and changing facility adjacent to the current cricket pitch ground (Building B) This new single storey building will have a multi-use space where groups will meet and during the cricket season will also act as changing rooms. It will also have a disabled toilet and baby changing facilities. The new facility would allow for more programming of indoor activities, longer opening hours. Increase in usage of the facility will lead to increased revenues, all of which will be ploughed back into maintaining and developing other facilities in the club’s vision. Council wishes to develop this project with a consultant.

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council invite tenders from suitability qualified Lead Consultants registered on Construction Line to submit a tender on behalf of an Integrated Consultancy Team (ICT) for the completion of RIBA Stages 0 to 7 for two Youth Activity Projects one in Enniskillen and one in Omagh, funded through SEUPB’s Peace Plus programme. The Integrated Consultancy Team (ICT) will be required to develop, design and consult upon the scheme to secure all required statutory approvals, coordinate the procurement for an Integrated Supply Team (IST) to deliver the scheme, administer the contract, and supervise the scheme during construction through to a snag free completion and handover. The ICT Team will be required to ensure the scheme is designed and constructed to the standards required by the various statutory authorities, consultees and environmental agencies where appropriate. The anticipated contract period will be 24 months with a 12-month defect period. The Fermanagh and Omagh Local Action Plan under Theme 1 will see the delivery of a PEACEPLUS Capital Youth Programme, creating two enhanced shared youth outdoor spaces. Council have indentified the development of two schemes to be sited in appropriate locations in Omagh and Enniskillen. The projects were identified based on priority where need and demand was evident, and in cognisance of the consultation findings with an ask for projects to be located in proximity to other leisure facilities, shops and cafes, making the major urban centres of Enniskillen and Omagh prime locations. Projects will seek to provide the youth with open areas that provide a safe place to congregate with shelter from the weather and with provision for activities that appeal to youth.
