South East Pest-control Services Tenders & Contracts

Folkestone and Hythe District Council (FHDC) on behalf of itself and Dover District Council and Thanet District Council wishes to select and appoint a suitable supplier for the provision of pest control services and invites organisations to submit a tender to meet the councils' requirements. This tender will be conducted as a 'special regime contract' in accordance with section 10 (6) (a) of the Procurement Act 2023. This is a joint tender exercise between Folkestone and Hythe District Council, Dover District Council, and Thanet District Council. A single shared supplier will be selected for all three councils, but awarded a separate contract by each council individually. The contract is anticipated to start 4 January 2027 and continue for a period of 3 years (with the option to extend for two further periods of 12 months each i.e. 3+1+1 years). The estimated contract values for the initial 3-year term excluding VAT are £123,000 for Dover District Council, £69,000 for Folkestone and Hythe District Council, and £129,000 for Thanet District Council (total £321,000 excl. VAT). The estimated contract values for the full 5-year term (including allowance for inflation) excluding VAT are £229,600 for Dover District Council, £128,800 for Folkestone and Hythe District Council, and £240,800 for Thanet District Council (total rounded to £600,000 excl. VAT).

Dartford Borough Council (Environmental Protection) is inviting tenders to enter into a contract to deliver a ‘pest control service ‘for the Dartford Borough Council geographical area. The contract is for the period from 1st August 2026 for 2 years (ending 31st July 2028) with an option to extend for a period of up to 12 months (1x 12 month extension).

West Kent Housing Association is seeking long-term pest control service provider(s), for the treatment of statutory pest infestations relating to: Lot 1: insects (eg cockroaches and wasps), rodents (eg rats, squirrels, and mice) and similar pests. Lot 2: birds including pigeons. Removal of bees’ nests is specifically excluded from this procurement. The initial contract term will be 5-years, incorporating a break clause for both no-fault and breach of contract, with the provision for extension for up to 3-years performance depending. The form of contract will be West Kent's own Services Agreement, with embedded data processing agreement and supplemental schedules.
