The Authority is intending to contract for a new build fire station on our existing Camels Head site at Ferndale Road, Plymouth, Devon. The new facility will provide an emergency response function (with 3 fire appliance bays). The new fire station will be built to building regulations whilst incorporating low carbon systems. The contract will include demolition of the existing premise (excluding the tower). The onsite operational presence will be fully decanted in advance of site works commencing. The Authority has engaged a project team that will design the build to RIBA Stage 4a before tendering. The design team will be novated to the Contractor. The construction form of contract will be JCT Design and Build (2024) and any requests to amend terms will be required to be submitted during the the tender clarification window prior to tender return submission deadline. We plan to go to tender in February 2027 with a 10-week tendering period. The intention is for the tender pack to include, but is not limited to: Invitation to Tender, Prelims and Contract Particulars, Design packs, and Pre-Construction Information Pack. The tender stage will allow time for a site visit. The intention is to assess bids under a 70% Price / 30% Quality & Social Value split. Quality and Social Value themes for assessment will be confirmed in the tender pack but are likely to focus on project delivery approach, risk management, programme/deliverability, environmental impact and improving local community. Price will be assessed via a fixed price, with a pricing schedule breakdown. Contract Award is anticipated in Summer 2027 with works anticipated to start onsite Autumn 2027, and completion during Winter 2028. Contract performance will be monitored using KPIs which will be defined in the tender pack. Our estimated cost of the build is currently £4.875m ex VAT, which determines this as a ‘public contract’ in respect of the Procurement Act 2023.

Teignbridge District Council intends to procure cleaning services for its corporate, operational and leisure buildings and its public toilets. The current scope includes: - Forde House - Old Forde House - the Depot and Bulking Station - Newton Abbot Leisure Centre - Broadmeadow Sports Centre - Dawlish Leisure Centre - Teignbridge Business Centre - Sherborne House - around 24 public toilet sites across the district The portfolio is expected to change during the contract term. The contract will therefore need to allow sites to be added and removed. The Council is considering whether to divide the requirement into lots, for example by site type or geographical area, to encourage participation from small and local businesses. It is also considering whether window cleaning should be included, lotted separately or procured separately. TUPE is expected to apply at some sites. The Council welcomes views from suppliers on: - lotting - frequency-based versus output-based specification - pay rates (Real Living Wage and National Minimum Wage) and price indexation - TUPE - responsibility for equipment and consumables - contract length, break clauses and transfer to a successor authority - social value This engagement does not commit the Council to any procurement or approach. Taking part, or not taking part, will not affect any supplier’s position in a future procurement.

Applications are invited from organisations based in the voluntary and community sector to lead a project funded by the Plymouth Health Determinants Collaboration. (PHDRC). We know that throughout Plymouth, communities and groups have great conversations and collect lots of rich information describing people's experience of life in Plymouth. Some of the information is collected with a specific purpose in mind, other information is more unexpected but valuable and relevant. Community groups have told us that it is challenging to understand how this information can be shared to influence thinking and decision making, with those who have the potential to make use of the knowledge. Further exploration suggested that people are more likely to share their knowledge and views if they feel that it is likely to make a difference. Council colleagues often don't know what is already available, and how relevant it could be. Plymouth City Council is looking for a voluntary or community group based in Plymouth to take responsibility for this project, to manage the project and employ the researchers required. We wish by the end of the project we will have a greater understanding of the information collected by whom, we know who and how to share it with and we address any blockages which prevents the information being available to inform decision making. The HDRC would like to project to start as soon as possible but recognises there might be a need for a pre-project phase of development before the project starts proper. The project proper is likely to need to run for a 12-month period. (plus, pre- project time).
