In April 2015, the MOD signed a thirteen year contract with Leidos Europe Ltd to provide the procurement and inventory management of commodity items (as well as the storage and distribution services), that were historically provided in-house by the Logistic Commodities and Services Operating Centre. Leidos, working with the MOD, will transform the way these services are delivered to ensure requirements continue to be met whilst providing best value for money for the department. The organisation delivering these services is known as Team Leidos. Team Leidos would like to make markets aware that we are intending to investigate innovative approaches to fill our Supply of Over Labelled Pre-Packed Medicines requirements. This is to supply over-labelled medical pharmaceutical articles, including branded products. Over-labelled medicines have pre-defined products and doses, with a pre-printed specific MOD label containing instructions and other information. It is the aim of this Preliminary Market Engagement Notice (PMEN) to encourage companies, suppliers, or manufacturers to make us aware and provide as much information as they are comfortable with, to help decide the future strategy for the range. Team Leidos wishes to generate interest, information and views with other companies to understand the current market innovation and gain useful intelligence that can help our requirement. Improving health outcomes through vaccines is a priority for the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA). We aim to use UKHSA's capabilities across the full vaccine pathway to facilitate innovation and support the development and deployment of safe and effective vaccines, ensure the reliable and timely procurement, storage and distribution of vaccines, and drive increased uptake among the population to reduce the burden of infectious disease. The proposed framework is to provide Participating Authorities (NHS bodies, local authorities, Integrated Care Boards, public health commissioners, central government departments, arm’s-length bodies and other named public-sector bodies) with a compliant, flexible and high-quality route to procure licensed Nicotine Replacement Therapy (“NRT”), reusable vaping devices, vaping consumables and associated smoking cessation products for tobacco dependency treatment, smoking cessation programmes and wider public health initiatives.

SNBTS requires to attain supplies of Red Cell Reagents compatible with automated technology and is for the anti body detection and identification only and not equipment or accessory devices. Antibody detection and ID, ABO/Rh typing and phenotyping is performed in SNBTS on samples taken from patients and donors. Initial testing on Donors for Anti body detection and ID and ABO/Rh typing is by large scale automated blood grouping systems; currently Beckman PK7300 and Phenotyping of Donors is performed manually and on automated systems. Testing of patient samples is performed at sites located at sites in Scotland (Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Inverness, and Aberdeen). Samples referred from hospitals and internal laboratories are tested using both manual and automated systems. A selected number of donor and patient samples are also tested manually and on the Grifols Erytra and Eflexis blood group analysers.
